Printing That Keeps Up With NYC

A pitch moves up a day. A trade show booth ships tomorrow morning. A keynote deck needs handouts before the doors open. In Manhattan, the deadline rarely waits, and neither do we. VSL Print runs rush printing in-house, with priority scheduling on select small jobs, so an approved job moves straight onto our presses.

Because every step of production happens under one roof — digital presses, large format, cutting, folding, and bindery — nothing is handed off to sit in a courier queue or wait on an outside vendor. That in-house control is what makes a genuine rush promise realistic rather than aspirational. When you order early with print-ready files, your job jumps to the front of the digital queue and runs ahead of standard-turnaround work.

Rush jobs print digitally rather than on offset. Digital presses image directly from your PDF with no plates to burn and no ink to dry overnight, so a flyer moves from file to finished cut stack fast. That same speed is why files have to arrive correct: there is no time to chase down a missing font or convert an RGB photo on a rush clock. Each rush job runs through the same digital printing services we offer at standard turnaround, so speed never comes at the expense of calibrated color.

Rush Options for Larger Jobs

Need something bigger or more complex? We offer expedited rush turnaround on most products.

The deadlines we print against come from every corner of the city. Wall Street firms need a revised pitch book before a morning meeting. Broadway productions reprint programs and signage after a last-minute cast change. Agencies in the Flatiron and Chelsea need event collateral the day before a launch, and showrooms in the Garment District want fresh line sheets and swatch cards for a buyer walking in tomorrow. Restaurants reprint menus when a dish changes; galleries need wall labels and price lists before an opening.

For runs and formats that cannot finish today, our rush tiers keep things moving without sacrificing the offset quality, specialty coatings, and binding those projects often call for. A complex saddle-stitched catalog, a foil-stamped folder, or a large offset run can still hit a tight window — it just needs a bit more time, which we confirm with your quote.

  • Large format banners
  • Complex booklets

Stocks & Finishing on a Rush Clock

What we can turn around today depends partly on the stock and the finishing it needs. Anything that can be printed, cut, and bound in a single pass is fair game; anything that needs to cure or be set up on a separate machine moves to a rush track.

Rush-Friendly

  • 100lb gloss and silk coated text for flyers and sell sheets
  • Uncoated 70-100lb text for letterhead and inserts
  • 14pt and 16pt C2S cardstock for postcards and cards
  • Inline cutting, folding, scoring, and perforating
  • Saddle-stitching for booklets up to 16 pages
  • Digital CMYK with G7-calibrated color

Needs a Rush Track

  • Soft-touch, gloss, or matte lamination (needs dwell time)
  • Spot UV and raised spot coatings
  • Foil stamping and embossing
  • Die-cutting and custom shapes from a steel rule die
  • Perfect-bound and hardcover books
  • Pantone spot-color matching on offset

Not sure which side of the line your project falls on? Send the file or describe the job when you request a quote and we will tell you the fastest honest turnaround — the tightest rush window that is genuinely achievable. We would rather set a deadline we can hit than miss one.

Rush Printing NYC

Rush Printing for New York City Deadlines

When a deadline moves up, our rush printing keeps your project on schedule. Approve print-ready artwork early in the day and select small jobs move straight into our priority queue, with rush delivery available across NYC. Because every press, cutter, and bindery line runs in-house, a rush job never waits in another vendor's queue.

The products we turn around fastest include business cards, flyers, postcards, posters, booklets, presentation folders, and signage, printed full color on our digital presses. Smaller runs move fastest, while larger or specialty jobs — offset runs, foil, embossing, lamination, or wide-format banners — can still be expedited depending on the finishing involved. Tell us the deadline up front and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Rush work does not mean cutting corners. The same G7-calibrated color management and in-house quality control that go into a standard run go into every rush order, so a fast turnaround still matches your brand. Our prepress team checks your files the moment they arrive and flags anything that could slow the job, so a small fix does not cost you the deadline.

Turnaround options range from priority rush on select small jobs to standard production for jobs that are not urgent, and we confirm the schedule with your quote. There is no minimum, so a rush order of a single proof and a rush run of a thousand flyers are both easy to place. If you are weighing a rush fee against your deadline, we will lay out the fastest and the most cost-effective path so you can decide.

VSL Print has produced fast-turnaround work in New York for years, and that experience is what makes rush printing dependable rather than a gamble. We know which products can realistically be made and finished on a tight clock, how to order stock so a rush never stalls on materials, and how to sequence finishing — laminating, scoring, trimming, even foil on the right job — so a rush order still gets what it needs. Send your files, place your order, and we will tell you exactly what is possible for your deadline.

New York City agencies, event producers, real-estate teams, and retailers rely on us when a pitch, a launch, or an event date will not wait. Whether you need a single set of business cards or a few thousand event programs on a tight deadline, call 646-843-0800 or request a rush quote, and we will get your rush printing produced, finished, and in your hands on time.

Rush orders should reach us as early in the day as possible, and your files must be print-ready at time of order. Items with finishing, like booklets, need extra lead time, so call us with your deadline and we will confirm what is achievable.

Yes, rush delivery is available in Manhattan for an additional fee on select small jobs. Delivery time depends on your location, and we confirm the delivery window when you place your order.

Rush service requires print-ready files. If changes are needed, we can adjust the schedule or offer rush design services at an additional cost.

Most rush products have no minimum. Some specialty items may require minimum quantities. Contact us for specific product requirements.

Rush work runs on our digital presses, which use dry toner or liquid-equivalent inks fused directly to the sheet with no drying time. That lets us print, cut, and finish quickly. Offset jobs need plate-making and ink-dry time, so they move to a longer rush track instead.

Rush digital covers uncoated text and cover weights, gloss and silk coated stocks, and cardstocks from 14pt to 16pt. Inline finishing such as cutting, folding, scoring, and saddle-stitching is available on a rush schedule. Soft-touch lamination, spot UV, foil, and die-cutting require additional dry and setup time and move to a longer rush track.

We are G7-calibrated, so our digital output is calibrated to a known gray balance and neutral curve for consistent, predictable color. Build files in CMYK and we will match the digital gamut closely. Exact Pantone spot-color matching is best handled on offset, which we schedule as a longer rush track.

Upload a flattened, print-ready PDF/X-1a with embedded fonts, CMYK color, 300 dpi images, and 0.125" bleed on every edge. Files that arrive print-ready early in the day go straight into the priority queue. Files that need preflight corrections, color conversion, or layout changes can slow the schedule.

Rush service runs during our standard hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM. Weekend and holiday rush work can sometimes be arranged in advance for time-critical projects. Call (646) 843-0800 to confirm availability before you submit.
