Flatbed Die Cutting

Rotary Die Cutting
A cylindrical die rolls over material at high speed for efficient, high-volume production. The go-to method for labels and stickers on rolls, offering consistent results at scale.
Laser Die Cutting
Computer-controlled laser cuts with extreme precision, enabling intricate lace-like patterns, fine filigree, and ultra-complex shapes impossible with steel rule dies. No die fabrication needed.
Kiss Cutting
Cuts through the top printed layer and adhesive while leaving the backing sheet intact. Perfect for stickers, decals, and labels that need to be peeled off individually from a sheet.

How Die Cutting Works

Submit Your Artwork
Provide your print-ready file with a separate die cut line (typically in Pantone 032 or a spot color) indicating where cuts should be made. Our team can also help create the die cut path from your design.
Die Fabrication or Laser Setup
For flatbed and rotary cutting, we fabricate a custom steel rule die from your cut path. For laser cutting, we program the laser directly from your file. New dies add fabrication time, which we confirm with your quote.
Print & Finishing
Your piece is printed first, then goes through lamination, foil stamping, or other finishing if specified. The order of operations ensures registration stays tight throughout.
Die Cutting & Quality Check
The die cuts your pieces with precision. Every job goes through a quality inspection to confirm clean cuts, proper registration, and consistent dimensions before packaging.

Flatbed die cutting presses a flat die down onto a stack of sheets — ideal for precise cuts, thick materials, and short to medium runs. Rotary die cutting uses a cylindrical die on a roll — better suited for high-volume label and sticker production.
Kiss cutting cuts through the printed material but leaves the backing sheet intact, making it easy to peel individual stickers or labels. Through cutting goes all the way through all layers, producing individual die cut pieces.
We die cut paper, cardstock, cover stock, corrugated board, vinyl, magnetic sheeting, foam, and synthetic materials. Thickness and material type affect which cutting method is best suited.
Yes. We fabricate custom steel rule dies from your artwork. Setup fees apply for new die creation. Once made, the die is yours to use for future reprints at no additional setup cost.
Die cutting adds a finishing pass after print is complete, and we confirm the schedule with your quote. Rush service is available. If a new die needs to be made, allow extra time for die fabrication.
