Window Graphics Installation NYC
Every pane, a canvas.
Storefront wraps, frosted privacy vinyl, perforated one-way vision film, and cut vinyl lettering — printed, cut, and installed by our Manhattan-based team across all five boroughs.

Window Graphic Options
Four categories of window graphics — each serving a distinct purpose for your space.

Storefront Window Wraps
Transform your storefront into a billboard with full-color window wraps. High-resolution graphics printed on premium vinyl turn empty windows into 24/7 advertising that catches foot traffic on every NYC block. Partial wraps, full wraps, or border designs — tailored to your retail space.

Frosted & Etched Vinyl
Simulate the elegant look of sandblasted or acid-etched glass at a fraction of the cost. Frosted vinyl provides privacy while allowing natural light through. Available in standard frost, custom patterns, gradient fades, and cut-out designs that reveal clear glass for logos or text.

Perforated One-Way Vision
Full-color exterior graphics that allow interior visibility — the best of both worlds. Perforated vinyl uses a pattern of tiny holes (typically 50/50 or 60/40 perforation) so people inside see through the window normally while people outside see your advertisement.

Cut Vinyl Lettering & Logos
Precision-cut vinyl letters, logos, and graphics applied directly to glass. Clean, professional, and permanent-looking without the permanence — can be updated or removed as your branding evolves. Available in any Pantone color, metallic finishes, or frosted film.
Popular Applications
Window graphics serve every industry in NYC — from Fifth Avenue retail to Midtown corporate offices.
Retail Storefronts
Turn your windows into your most visible marketing asset. Seasonal promotions, product showcases, and brand storytelling that catches foot traffic on Manhattan streets.
Office Privacy
Frosted bands, full-panel privacy film, and branded patterns that give conference rooms and offices privacy without sacrificing natural light.
Restaurant Branding
Menu displays, hours of operation, logos, and decorative elements that establish ambiance from the sidewalk. Pair with interior frosted glass for a cohesive look.
Seasonal Campaigns
Holiday displays, sale promotions, and event-driven graphics designed for easy installation and clean removal. Keep your storefront fresh and relevant year-round.
Building Wraps
Large-scale window graphics spanning multiple floors for maximum visibility. Perforated film maintains interior light and views while creating an unmissable exterior statement.
Safety & Compliance
Safety banding, bird deterrent patterns, and building code compliance graphics. ADA-required contrast markings on glass doors and full-height glazing.
How It Works
From consultation to installation — a clean, professional process.
Consultation & Measurement
We visit your location to measure windows, assess glass type (tempered, laminated, insulated), evaluate sun exposure, and discuss your goals. We photograph the space for design mockups.
Design & Mock-Up
Our design team creates photo-realistic mockups showing your graphics on your actual windows. You see exactly how the finished installation will look before any material is cut or printed.
Production
Graphics are printed on premium vinyl using UV-stable, fade-resistant inks. Materials are selected based on application — cast vinyl for curves, perforated film for see-through, frosted for privacy. Every piece is quality-checked before leaving our facility.
Professional Installation
Our certified installers prep glass surfaces, apply graphics bubble-free using wet application techniques, and trim to precision. We clean up completely and inspect every panel before sign-off.
Print & Install Under One Roof
Most sign shops outsource printing or installation. We do both in-house — which means faster turnaround, tighter quality control, and one point of contact from design through installation.

Materials, Specs & File Prep
The right film for the right window. Here's how we spec, print, and prepare a window graphics job from first proof to final squeegee.
Substrates & Films We Print On
Window graphics aren't one material — the choice drives durability, look, and cost. For full-color storefront work we print on calendared or cast PVC vinyl with a clear or opaque adhesive. Cast vinyl (typically 2 mil) is dimensionally stable and preferred for long-term installs and any recessed or slightly curved glazing, while calendared vinyl (3.2–4 mil) is the economical pick for flat, shorter-run promos. Perforated one-way vision film comes in 50/50 and 60/40 open ratios — more open area means brighter interior views but lower exterior image density. Frosted and etched effects use a dusted-crystal polyester film, and removable static cling (no adhesive, held by surface tension) is ideal for short seasonal swaps on interior glass.
Print, Ink & Lamination
Exterior graphics are printed on our large-format machines using UV-cured or latex inks that resist fading and don't off-gas, then overlaminated with a UV-protective clear film. The laminate matters as much as the print: it shields the ink from sun and street grime, adds scuff resistance against squeegees and snow shovels, and lets us offer gloss, matte, or anti-glare finishes. Matte and luster laminates cut reflections on sunlit storefronts so passersby actually read the message. As a G7-calibrated shop, we calibrate to a shared gray-balance standard so a brand blue on your window matches the same blue on your printed collateral and signage.
Sizing, File Prep & What to Send
Send vector art (PDF, AI, or EPS) whenever possible — vector lettering and logos stay razor-sharp at any size and are required for cut vinyl, where contours become physical knife paths. For photographic wraps, raster files should land around 100–150 DPI at final print size, which is plenty at storefront viewing distance. Build artwork in CMYK, include a 0.25" bleed on printed panels, and keep critical text away from mullions and frame edges. Specify exact Pantone (PMS) values for brand colors so we can match them on press. We measure the actual glass — never the frame opening — and account for seams when a window exceeds our material width, planning panel breaks along natural design lines so they read clean from the sidewalk.
Durability, Removal & Turnaround
Properly laminated exterior vinyl holds color for roughly 3–7 years depending on orientation; south- and west-facing glass takes the harshest UV and ages fastest, while interior frosted film can last a decade or more. Because we run printing, cutting, finishing, and installation in-house at our Manhattan facility, we control the schedule end to end and can turn rush jobs when a grand opening or event date won't move. When a promotion ends, professional-grade adhesive lifts cleanly with heat and the right solvents, leaving the glass ready for the next campaign — which is what makes a rotating seasonal-swap program practical for a storefront.
Window Graphics NYC
Window Graphics in New York City
Window graphics turn glass into marketing space — a storefront that stops foot traffic, a frosted office wall that adds privacy, or a full display that transforms a blank window into a brand statement. VSL Print designs, prints, and installs window graphics across New York City, so the same team handles the file, the material, and the install. Many storefront projects pair window vinyl with broader signage printing so the whole exterior reads as one brand.
We make every type of window graphic: cut and printed vinyl, frosted and etched-glass film, perforated one-way vision film that you can see out of but not into, removable static clings, and full printed window wraps. The right product depends on the goal — perforated film for storefront windows you still want light through, frosted film for office privacy, bold opaque vinyl for a promotion — and we will recommend the material, color, and coverage that fit.
Every job is custom. We design window graphics to the exact sizes of your glass, match colors to your brand, and lay out the artwork so it reads well from the sidewalk and the street. Whether it is a single logo on a door, a set of frosted panels across an office, or seasonal graphics for a retail storefront, we build the files for clean printing and precise installation. From there the files go straight to wide-format printing in our own shop before the install crew takes over.
Because we install what we print, the graphics go up cleanly and bubble-free, aligned to the mullions and edges of the glass. We work around office hours and store hours so installation does not interrupt business, and we handle removal and replacement when it is time to refresh. For multi-location retailers and offices, we keep the look consistent from one storefront to the next.
From retail storefronts and restaurants to corporate offices and building lobbies, New York businesses come to us when window space needs to work harder. Tell us the windows you are making over — sizes, location, and the look you want — and request a free quote, and our team will design, produce, and install graphics that fit the glass and the goal.
We install full window wraps, partial wraps, cut vinyl lettering and logos, frosted/etched vinyl for privacy, perforated one-way vision film, static cling graphics, and seasonal promotional displays. Each type serves a different purpose — from branding to privacy to advertising.
Perforated window film (also called one-way vision vinyl) has tiny holes that allow people inside to see out while displaying your graphics to people outside. It is commonly used for storefront advertising because it provides full-color exterior graphics without blocking natural light or interior visibility.
High-quality window vinyl typically lasts 3-7 years depending on sun exposure and material type. South-facing windows in direct sunlight may see faster fading. We use premium 3M and Avery vinyl rated for outdoor durability. Frosted vinyl for interior privacy applications can last 10+ years.
Yes. Professional-grade vinyl is designed to be removable. Our installers use heat and specialized tools to remove graphics cleanly without damaging glass surfaces. There may be minor adhesive residue that we clean during removal. This makes window graphics ideal for seasonal promotions and temporary campaigns.
Yes. Frosted vinyl simulates the look of expensive etched or sandblasted glass at a fraction of the cost. We install frosted bands, full-panel privacy film, custom patterns, and cut-out logos. Popular for conference rooms, law offices, medical practices, and any space needing privacy without blocking light.
Yes. We have experience with high-rise installations and coordinate with building management for access, timing, and safety requirements. For upper-floor installations requiring lifts or scaffolding, we arrange certified equipment and trained crews.
Most storefront installations are completed in a single visit, while full-building window wraps or multi-floor projects take longer. We schedule installations during off-peak hours when needed to minimize disruption to your business.
In most cases, yes. Commercial leases typically require landlord approval for storefront modifications. Window graphics may also need to comply with local signage regulations. We can provide mock-ups and material specifications for your landlord or building management approval process.
Vector files (PDF, AI, or EPS) are ideal — they stay sharp at any size and are required for cut vinyl lettering, where the artwork contours become the knife paths. For photographic wraps, send high-resolution raster files at roughly 100-150 DPI at final print size. Build artwork in CMYK, include a 0.25-inch bleed on printed panels, and specify exact Pantone values for any brand colors so we can match them on press.
Cast vinyl is thinner (about 2 mil), more dimensionally stable, and resists shrinking, which makes it the better choice for long-term installs and any recessed or curved glass. Calendared vinyl is thicker (3.2-4 mil) and more economical, well suited to flat glass and shorter-run seasonal promotions. For exterior work, both are overlaminated with a UV-protective clear film to extend color life and add scuff resistance.
It depends on the film. Solid printed vinyl is opaque, so we reserve it for areas where you want full coverage. Perforated one-way vision film keeps interior views and natural light: a 50/50 pattern blocks half the glass for a denser exterior image, while a 60/40 pattern leaves more open area for brighter interiors. Frosted vinyl diffuses light for privacy without making a room dark. We help you match the film to how the space is used.
Yes. We are a G7-calibrated shop, which means we calibrate to a shared gray-balance standard across offset, digital, and large-format printing. Because window vinyl, business collateral, and signage can all be produced in-house, a brand color on your storefront can be matched to the same color on your brochures and banners for a consistent look.
